At the 2005 Fall Cub Scout-Boy Scout campout, we helped the Cubs learned some knot tying. Now, knot tying is one of those things that is difficult to maintain or even get the attention of a Cub Scout, yet it's a skill that is re-used over and over. On the right, you can see an example of one of our Den Chiefs demonstrating his confidence in his ability to tie a bowline knot (click to zoom).
We also covered the square knot with the Cubs.
