Available Gear

Gear if you need it

One of our past scoutmasters, Don, had some extra gear that he no longer needed and asked if I thought anyone in the troop could use it.

He donated a cook kit for the troop, which we'll keep as troop gear. He also had 3 sleeping bags (below), which we're offering up to any scouts in need of a sleeping bag. So if you're son is in need of a sleeping bag, all three are up for grabs - first come first serve.

Also, with summer camp coming, I have one external frame backpack that is available to borrow for summer camp if any scout is interested - again, first come first serve.

The first two bags are pretty much the same and come stored in this bag:

These bags are 15 degree bags, so they're definitely warm enough for our fall camp (in Octocber), but would need another liner to be used for Klondike (Feb camp - the coldest we've slept outside in is -8). If you have a warm weather bag, this could work for the colder campouts.

The third bag is not as warm as the other bags. It would be fine for summer camp, and maybe fall camp if the weather isn't too cold. It's flannel lined. It has a small tear in the nylon cover that you can see in the left photo.

Backpack

The backpack is an older external frame pack. It's available for borrow for summer camp and returned after camp.
