Sleeping Bag Surprise (the name should be obvious from the ingredients) was introduced to the troop at a Webelos overnight campout in September 2005 by an ASM Conto. It's a nice side dish to a dinner.
1 big can of pork and beans (we prefer bush's)
1 pound of bacon
2 cans of whole potatoes
Garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
Chop the bacon into 1 inch pieces. Cook the bacon in the dutch oven, leaving the bacon and grease in the dutch oven. Cut the canned potatoes in half and add them to the bacon, stirring them until completely browned. Add the prok and beans and seasonings and let cook for another 1-2 hours.
