What is a Court of Honor?

A Court of Honor is a special awards ceremony held several times a year to present our Boy Scouts with the awards and rank advancements they have earned. The awards scouts earn include primarily merit badges, but may also be camp patches, religious awards, Mile Swim, Kayaking Patch, and others.

The Court of Honor is also the official ceremony where scouts are presented with rank advancement of scout, tenderfoot, second class, first class, star, and life. There is a special Eagle Court of Honor for scouts earning their Eagle Rank.

In addition, the troop will typically have a pot luck meal and gather to talk about the different experiences our scouts have had.
